Current Volunteer Opportunities

Older Brother volunteer needed for an outgoing 13-year-old boy living in the Lachine area. He loves fishing and the outdoors. Commitment would be once a week for at least a year or longer. Ideally you love fishing. You are a committed, caring, responsible person with a vehicle.

Older Sister volunteer needed for a 13-year-old girl living in a group home in NDG. Ideal volunteer candidate would be an active young woman who loves soccer, violin and fashion. Commitment would be once a week for at least a year or longer. You are a committed, caring, responsible person with availability either after 5 p.m. or on weekends.

Summer day programs for teens need active, sports-oriented volunteers. Programs are located in Dorval and Côte St. Luc. Volunteers must be available, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., three days a week between Monday and Friday, for the period of June 15 to August 15.

Older Brother volunteer for a shy, sports-oriented youth in the Snowdon area. Commitment would be once a week for at least a year or longer. You love sports and are a committed, caring, responsible person.

Older Brother volunteer for a sport- and music-loving 11-year-old in the St. Laurent area. Commitment would be once a week for at least a year or longer. You are sensitive to cultural communities and the Catholic faith. You are committed, caring, responsible and able to engage youth.

Tutor, grade 7 math, for the period of May to September, in the LaSalle area. Must be available twice a week, schedule is flexible.

Math and French tutors needed for boys and girls, September 2009. All grade levels, all areas of the city and off island. Must be available twice a week after school for the academic year.

Drivers needed, you must have an excellent driving record, and have your own vehicle to transport children and youth. Your vehicle must be in great condition to transport kids. Mileage will be reimbursed. Volunteer assignments, days and times vary greatly.

Inuit-speaking volunteers required for one of our programs for teens in the Laurentians. Dialogue, reading and relating Inuit print material to teens. Scheduling is flexible.
